The client is a publicly traded, full-service bank that operates over 150 branches across New Jersey and New York.
To tackle the increased security breaches and tighter regulations, the client was successful in providing the issuance and access controls to end-users with digital identities. However, with growth came the need to scale and meet the strategic and tactical vision. The bank lacked a centralized identity and access repository resulting in significant effort to source it. A manual access review and provisioning led to the lack of scalability to support the business growth. Lack of role definition, policies, and standards enforcements in the IAM program, and absence of a modernized SSO were some of the significant gaps. The client also needed to transition from a product-based provisioning program to a risk-based compliance-driven program. There was an absolute need for a robust framework that would leverage proven industry technologies.
A Simeio hosted cloud-based solution was provided to the client, for complete Identity Governance and Administration (IGA). A factory methodology was set up for rapid application on-boarding for access reviews through standardized, risk-based workflow patterns. Simeio also provided an Access Governance Managed Service through Simeio cloud. This platform was solely dedicated to the client and is currently operating the managed services environment.
Simeio set up a digital IAM platform using Saviynt, for access governance and provisioning, onboarding multiple applications for automated provisioning. User certifications were processed, and standard controls were established for the monitoring and data reconciliation process. A standard application onboarding factory model was set up, along with standardized processing with the required training material for faster onboarding in the future. Simeio set up an Interceptor and deployed it at the client’s data center to connect to the Simeio Virtual Private Cloud.
